Requirements for the Doctorate
Program Description: third cycle, 2 years
In the third cycle, the students are brought to the fullness of scientific maturity through the elaboration of the Doctoral Thesis. To promote this work, a seminar course is organized, attended by some professors and all doctoral students of the specialization (for at least the first two years of work), with the goal of developing their theses.
Students who have obtained a licentiate degree elsewhere may be admitted to the doctorate cycle under the same conditions only if the licentiate obtained is consistent with the specialization. If continuity between the cycles is partially missing, it is up to the Dean’s Council, after consultation with the Coordinator, to determine the plan of studies to be followed.
To be admitted to the third cycle, the “magna cum laude” qualification of 9/10 is required.
