nota bene
Ordinary students are those who are able and want to obtain an official academic qualification of the Vatican State (Bachelor, Licence, Doctorate), or of the university (‘Master’, Diploma of Higher Specialisation…).
NOTA BENE
Extraordinary students are those who do not yet have all the requirements to proceed to an academic qualification (or for some reason do not intend to do so). They can still register as an Extraordinary student. The procedure for registration is the same as for Ordinary students.
These students are
(a) those who have successfully completed the programme of a particular cycle of studies, but who do not yet have all the requirements needed to obtain the corresponding academic qualification;
(b) those who are able to register in the normal way for the following year of a particular course of studies, but do not exercise their right to do so, in agreement with the Segreteria Generale, for the whole period of the interruption of their studies.
